Growing up in the mountains
I am based in the Lake District in northern England. I work as an MIC (Mountaineering Instructor) and run my own Guiding and Instruction company www.mountaincircles.com
I climb and work around the world leading climbing trips and expeditions but spend a lot of time through the winter coaching/teaching in Scotland. I enjoy all aspects of climbing and expedition climbing but particularly focus on winter climbing and dry-tooling. In my own time I enjoy new routing in particular and am always keen to try new lines.
When working I am always keen to introduce new people to climbing and the mountains as well as helping people develop their climbing and mountaineering to go on and get on the routes they hope to do independently.
Outside the UK my favorite place that I've been climbing is probably the Tien Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan, an awesome place with vast unclimbed possibilities and a fascinating culture.
